This combined catalogue provides information about availability of the hourly and one-minute geomagnetic data archived in the World Data Centre for Geomagnetism at the British Geological Survey. The catalogue consists of four frames (panels). The main panel on the left side shows a list of all magnetic observatories held at the WDC. Clicking on the name, more detailed information about the magnetic observatory appears on the right top panel.
Clicking the highlighted HR mark, the user will be able to see a list of digital hourly mean data (by the year and month) of a given observatory on the left bottom panel. Further, clicking on the observatory name on this panel, the user will be entered into the corresponding subdirectory on the WDC FTP server. (NB. Please right-click and open in a new window). From this subdirectory a yearly data file (in ASCII) can be downloaded for the selected observatory (note that this subdirectory actually includes hourly mean data for all years available).
Clicking the highlighted MIN mark, the user will be able to see a list of digital 1-min data (by the year and month) of a given observatory on the right bottom panel. Further, clicking on the year on this panel, the user will be entered into the corresponding subdirectory on the WDC FTP server. (NB. Please right-click and open in a new window). From this subdirectory a monthly data file (in ASCII) can be downloaded for the selected year (note that this subdirectory actually includes monthly data files for a given year for all available observatories).
A user may return to the initial 4-panel configuration by clicking on Main page at the top or bottom of the left panel.
